Vida con Color / Life with Color

My work is driven by a mission to empower through paintings rich in culture and color. Born in Guadalajara, Mexico, I immigrated to the U.S. with my family, struggling to preserve my cultural identity. Over time, I became fully integrated into American customs, feeling disconnected from my roots. Through painting, I have reclaimed my heritage, drawing inspiration from the culture of Jalisco and pre-Columbian Nahuatl art.

Using oil and acrylic paints, I create figures that resist assimilation and cultural erasure, celebrating heritage in vivid hues. My work challenges colonialism and the loss of identity, envisioning a future where culture is honored and embraced. Through my art, I reclaim my roots and celebrate the strength of cultural pride.
