It's necessary to put ourselves in a life that creates color and strive to be our true selves in this short life despite the negative voices from others and our own. It's easy to fall into the comforting hug of sadness, the hug that slowly creeps in and squeezes tighter till it's no longer comforting but insufferable. This happens when we stop growing our inner child and let our dreams and ambitions get crushed by the fear of others and the pressure to "grow up." I strive to show people that with my work and make the viewer realize that society doesn't have to dictate who they are or what they can become.
