Nature is my playground. I’m a mask maker who constantly nourishes her gaze with the powerful creative potential the botanical world has to offer.
The tradition of Mask-making is ancient and is a distinctive feature of numerous cultures and civilisations throughout History. They allow us to display the many transitions we encounter as human beings. Masks have been used for centuries to connect us with our roots and our specific cultural legacies while opening doors, or faces, to the Unknown, the Divine, the "Unheimlich." Strangeness is an important aspect of my work, I am most content when my masks are frightening, unsettling, a weird intrusion of nature in your feeds.
