Kelly Chuning is a biracial, interdisciplinary artist born in Southern California and raised in rural southern Utah. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Arts with an emphasis in Photography and a Minor in Art History from Southern Utah University. Chuning's work looks at the interplay of aesthetics and the infantile, while examining the classification of cultural and sexual identity through speech and objectivity—both independently and collectively. Her work explores rhetoric, imagery, and media as a tool of constructing various modes of identity. "It's All Just Talk" investigates the rhetoric surrounding women in dialogue directed at the artist.
