I find myself fascinated with the modern human condition. How does society affect us on a deep and intimate level? What aids in our wellness or therefore detracts us from attaining our highest self? In my work I am exploring these themes and in turn my own emotions, opinions and personal struggles with modern life. Few things still remain as mystical as creativity. Modernity has given birth to a new age of transparency, of question, of reason or lack thereof. I paint to preserve my own inklings of mysticism; to both expose an idea and code it into a new visual language. I am inspired by artists such as H.R. Geiger, science fiction films and literature pertaining to human psychology. When I imagine life I think of the cybernetic macrocosm; a blend of technology, industry, and humanity.
