My name is Enda Burke Im a photographer from the west of Ireland .I like Colors, puns and all things Kitsch. For the past 2 years I have been building
nostalgic sets in my house concocting stories with my parents as the protagonists.
Before the Pandemic hit I was a street photographer because the streets were empty I decided to turn the lens on the people I saw each day which was my parents. The series titled”Homebound with my parents
are taken using nostalgia, humour, and Catholic iconography, as a form of escapism from the stress of lockdown”
My work explores themes of family and identity in Ireland, allowing humor and integrity to shine through the mundane.“I am particularly drawn to the strange monotony associated with family life and how small transient details of color and play can become marvel in monotonous settings
