My name is Enda Burke .I like Colours and all things Kitsch. I build nostalgic sets in my house concocting stories with my parents as the protagonists.
Before the Pandemic hit I was a street photographer because the streets were empty I decided to turn the lens on the people I saw each day which was my parents. The series entitled”Homebound with my parents are taken using nostalgia, humour, and Catholic iconography, as a form of escapism from the stress of lockdown.”
My work explores themes of family and identity in Ireland, allowing humour and integrity to shine through the mundane.“I am particularly drawn to the strange monotony associated with domestic llife.
The photo series has won awards, had a full feature with interview in the Guardian,Rolling Stone Magazine Italia, and a whole host of International publications
