URGENT MESSAGE – PLEASE READ

Scammers are directly targeting us by using a very similar looking email address to ours. These emails may look like they are coming from our accounts but are actually being sent from an entirely different address. Please be cautious and take note of the following:

The email that is currently being used has too many O’s in it (9 or 10).

We can assume they are using other emails as well, posing as me (Jeff) or many other addresses too. If the email address is anything other than Booooooom.com (with 7 o’s) it is fake.

The contents of the email outlines a “Private Exhibition” opportunity and will ask you to email back. DO NOT EMAIL BACK. At this time, it looks as though these emails are highly targeted and someone has gone to great effort to create this scam.

If you’ve received an email, please forward it to us and then report it as spam/abuse and block them on Google, Outlook, etc. You can forward it to info[at]booooooom.com (please make sure it has 7 O’s in Booooooom).

So far we have seen two emails which list different art institutions and people (example 1example 2) and also list specific artworks so we can assume each email is customized. Both emails we have seen requested $600 USD to be part of the exhibition. We will never request something like this.

We are actively working to address this issue and ensure the security of our community. Your safety is our priority, and we appreciate your vigilance.

If you have any concerns or questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to info[at]booooooom.com

For general inquiries feel free to contact Jeff. For advertising and brand partnerships please contact Levi. Please do not submit artwork here, or subscribe either email address to a mailing list. We are friendly people (we just deal with a lot of mail).
