William Abranowicz is a photographer and writer. He is the author of five monographs: The Greek File (Rizzoli 2001), Hellas (HH 2010), The Mianus River Gorge (MRG 2013), American Orginals (Vendome 2018) and This Far and No Further (Univ. of Texas Press 2020). His work is in the collection of the Met, The National Portrait Gallery (London), The National Portrait Gallery at the Smithsonian (DC), the Corcoran Gallery, (DC), the Menil Collection (Houston), The Newark Museum (NJ), The Thessaloniki Museum of Photography (Gr), and the Goulandris Museum (Gr) among others. His work has been featured in nearly every major publication in the world. He is virulently anti-trump, an activist for environmental and social justice issues and, with his son and daughter, a falconer. He lives in the Catskill Mountains in New York.
