I am an Indian American I am a painter, art teacher, graphic designer, and muralist who lives in Yonkers, NY. I graduated from Fordham University, College at Lincoln Center, with a BFA in Fine Arts, where I was awarded the Studio Art Award for painting.
As an art teacher, teaching teenagers to develop their studio art skills has helped me learned a great deal about my own art. Witnessing the experience of “learning to make art” is continually an eye opening one, and I feel it has helps me expand my own skills.
My style is figurative and realistic, but often with a slight to moderate hint of surrealism mixed in. I equally enjoy painting landscapes, portraits and still life—from life, not from photos, with some exceptions made for portraits and landscapes.
I aim to experiment with mediums, subjects, methods and techniques.
