Shea Chang is a Vancouver-born visual artist known for her solo and collaborative projects in Canada and abroad. Her interdisciplinary practice combines drawing, painting, printmaking, and sculpture to explore the complexities of identity, particularly related to race, gender, and sexuality. Informed by her own multi-racial and queer identities, Chang creates speculative and haunting visual languages to illuminate the hidden tensions of social, technological, and ecological thresholds within post-industrial landscapes. She currently works as an Assistant Professor of Illustration at OCAD University (Toronto), and lives/works in Hamilton, Ontario.
