Trained as an illustrator, my freelance artistic work began over ten years ago.
In my works one can find elements from nature, folklore, myths, impressions from dream sequences and from everyday life.
Transformation is a recurring theme.
The human figures seem to be contradictory and unstable, on the point of transforming into something else, avoiding the assignment of a specific identity.
Animals, fellow travellers of human beings, to which strong symbolic values are often attributed, are among my favourite subjects.
The elements from the plant and mineral kingdoms, with their mysterious and introverted lives, symbolise for me the elusive, hidden aspects of existence.
To realise my paintings, I move freely between drawing and painting.
My preferred support mediums are paper and wood.
