Brazilian photographer Roque Boa Morte is a lawyer, health manager and university professor.
Born and raised in the Bahia recôncavo, where the great influx of enslaved Africans occurred due to the demands of labor in the sugar cane mills, he has always accompanied all the cultural expressions of the region, having as a legacy of this relationship a deep appreciation for religions of African origin, the main motto of his works until then.
His works have already been exhibited and published in national and international media outlets.
He is currently pursuing a master's degree in ethnic and African studies, where he develops research on the social production of the photographic image of blacks in the West and is part of a group of studies on theories and history of photography.
