Christopher Burk is a visual artist known for his documentation of mundane environments that are found in countless urban neighborhoods in both the Midwestern, and Northeastern parts of the United States.
Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. He studied at the Columbus College of Art & Design, and the University of Akron with a focus on Painting. Burk has shown his work with Robert Lange Studios, Charleston, SC, Prince Street Gallery, New York, NY, and Viridian Gallery, New York, NY. Currently, he is represented by Brandt-Roberts Galleries, Columbus, OH, George Billis Gallery, New York, NY and The Bonfoey Gallery, Cleveland, OH.
His work has earned him various awards like an Individual Excellence Award from the Ohio Arts Council and most recently, the very prestigious Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant.
