Currently I am interested in themes of interpersonal dynamics, personal myths, and universality in human conditions. I frequently employ imagined spaces and pseudo-landscapes, a literal and metaphorical in-between space of what is and what could be. Imageries of sights and objects from the mundane life, historical legacy, fiction, and imagination serve as the staple of “what is,” beyond which I hint at and challenge "what could be.” I work in a variety of mediums, mostly with ink and digital lately. Recently my work is influenced by an internal renaissance of the Chinese culture.
