Rebecca Loyche is a conceptual artist working primarily in photography, video, installation and sound. Her interest lies in making work that questions and redefines our everyday perceptions. By producing psychological portraits of objects, spaces and people, she seeks to move beyond the concept of reality--to investigate truths. Her artwork has been shown Internationally in galleries, museums and screenings. She holds a MFA from Hunter College, BFA from Pratt Institute and as a DAAD scholar received a Meisterschüler with Candice Breitz in Germany. She has also curated and directed the art spaces MMX Open Art Venue, Co-Verlag and re:MMX in Berlin, Germany. She received a NYFA fellowship for photography and currently serves on NYFA’s Artist Advisory Committee for Photography.
