Hello!
My name is Yai Deng, and I’m a graphic artist and clothing brand owner living in Portland, Maine. I believe all great artists leave a piece of themselves each time they practice their craft. Everything that makes me who I am can be seen present in my work. From the music I like to my political views, my art is my mirror. Growing up in a South Sudanese lower-income household, going to private schools, being an altar boy at a small Polish church as a kid, simply living in Maine and many other parts of my life can be seen throughout my art. On my Instagram page, viewers can see topics ranging from the murder of the last Romanovs in Russia to current rappers living in Atlanta.
