Norton Pease is an artist who lives and works in the Deep South. His practice explores the connections of the past with the present, combining old and new, as well as challenging societal norms.
Norton received his MFA in Painting from Washington University in St. Louis in 1999, and his work has been exhibited nationally and internationally. Norton is also an Associate Dean of the College of Arts and Humanities and a Professor of Art in the Betty Foy Sanders Department of Art at Georgia Southern University.
Norton recently received the Chianciano Art Museum Prize at the Biennale Museo D'Arte Di Chianciano Terme, Italy (2022), participated in the VAE Raleigh Biennial (2023), and included in the MOCA GA Gathered Biennial. His work was recently published in the International Painting Annual (INPA 10) and Orange Book Volume 2.
