My paintings depict unsettling aspects of our world. They consider the consequences of global warming, the militarization of the farthest reaches of our planet, our reliance on technological infrastructure, and our acquiescence towards increasing fascism in order to feel safe. My most recently completed painting depicts civil unrest, titled ‘Tear Gas’.
I also like to take a break from these themes and paint portraits.
I paint in oil on aluminum composite panels, and I also I use spray paint, and mixed media. I spend several months on a single painting, especially the larger ones.
