Maximilien Luc Proctor (+MLP+) is a French-American filmmaker, musician & writer living in Berlin. He holds a B.A. in Film and Media Studies from the University of Oklahoma, where graduated with honors. He is an Eagle Scout and National Merit Scholar. In 2014 he was awarded the Ned Hockman Filmmaking Award for the short film Self-Reflection and the C. Clay Withrow Writing Award for an essay on the topic of Benny’s Video, White Noise and Baudrillard’s Simulacra. He has been a contributing writer for Photogénie since participating in their Young Critics Workshop in 2015, has been running Ultra Dogme since its inception, and his short films have played in festivals around the world.
