Michael James Cisarik is an emerging abstract artist based in Houston, Texas. After attending the University of Texas at Austin, he currently works full time in the energy industry and discovered a passion for creating abstract art during the pandemic. In short, what started as a mundane “chore” to furnish his apartment in 2020 morphed into a new hobby turned outlet. After looking for over six months for art that he genuinely liked, was sized appropriately, and complemented his décor, Michael decided to pick up a paintbrush for the first time in his life. After turning his Houston apartment kitchen into a makeshift “studio”, it quickly became a creative outlet. Since mid-2020, he has sold nearly 200 pieces to clients and designers across the U.S. and has been featured and recognized by numerous publications and institutions.
