Magaly Vega-Lopez was born in Mexico City in 1986. She is a visual storyteller that uses counter-narratives to start a dialogue on the violent acts of reality and pursues possible social healings through art.
She likes the idea of creating fictions that plays with the "real". Stories that we can relate to, between the familiar and the oddness, she plays—creating new worlds that seem familiar but unrecognizable at the same time. Using art as a medium to understand the world, engage with our community, and imagine a better future.
