With an affinity for all things visual, I began with drawing and painting all throughout my first couple of decades. After studying Art, Theatre and Set Design in university, I then taught myself photography & photoshop. Photography is my way of engaging with the external, connecting with others and a sense of mutual recognition. My experience in commercial photography has helped define my relationship to the camera as a tool, and not the mysterious thing it once seemed. The image, not the process, is the sole commanding concern. So I prefer to call myself an “image maker” instead of a pure photographer. When I’m not working on commercial photographs of buildings and interiors, I'm either focusing my camera on whatever inspires me or exploring new ways to create. It's really a never-ending compulsion.
