Kavi Srinivasaragavan is a fine artist based out of Irvine, California. He graduated from Pratt Institute (Brooklyn, NY) in 2018 with a BFA in Communications Design. He has since exhibited his paintings at the Onishi Gallery and Greenpoint Gallery in New York, and Gallery 5 in Richmond. Kavi works representationally and from memory; presenting moments that make apparent the dualities that surround us. His work is subtle but forceful; beautiful and mundane. His work deals equally in both physics and metaphysics. Its scope is grand, yet its focus is small and often ambiguous, beckoning the viewer to investigate. It is in this that his works excel, for they serve as mirrors aimed to reflect the viewer within the context of the larger human experience.
