Katia Lifshin (b.1993) is a Ukraine-born Israeli artist. In her practice, she primarily focuses on themes such as identity, childhood memories, and human relationships, particularly through the eyes of young girls and women. She uses old monochromatic photographs to guide and inspire her work, modifying them to create a new meaning, driven by her personal narrative. She relocated to the U.S in 2012, studied painting and sculpting at Pima College, Tucson, Arizona. Returning to Israel in 2018, she now lives and works in Tel-Aviv.
