I am a photographer and painter, with no general focus. My photography is walkabout style, although I am interested in the different each of photography's different fields. My painting is mostly abstract expressionist. Making art for me is a largely intuitive process since I have never received any formal arts training. My style and outlook on art has been heavily influenced by my mother, Michele Tragakiss’s dreamlike expressionist style of painting. I believe that dreams, memory and reality all exist in the same space and are interwoven together as one piece of perceived experience. The way you experience an object or space is not as direct as the colors and shapes of its physical being, but rather a combination of your lives individual total experience and the lifetime of the object or space as well, in conversation.
