Jing Zhao (b. 1994, Shanghai, China) is a multimedia artist currently based in New York. She works across disciplines, exploring ideological transformation in this time of accelerated information circulation and cultural diaspora. By documenting everyday events and collecting personal data through cameras, computers, and text, Jing searched for potential narrative lines in the massive inventory and presented a unique viewing perspective through careful re-editing and specific spatial relationships. What interests Jing is the forms in which contemporary digital media shape acts of our memory, intimate routines, emotive processes, and values.
