I am an artist, illustrator, and curator based in Michigan. Using drawing and mixed media, I explore the relationships between species in human-made ecosystems and landscapes and our role as ecosystem builders and destroyers. By looking at the plants and animals that live near and with humans in the urban/suburban landscape, I reflect on how these species shape me and mediate my relationship to the environment. These species exist in our homes, in our yards, in between the cracks of our built environment, fragmented but still thriving and never truly under our command.
