Jessica’s work explores moments, present and remembered, that invite a relationship to one’s senses and body. She is influenced by the methodology of arts based research where she makes sense of her lived experiences through creative inquiry. She is visually interested in the perceived spatial qualities of dreams and memories. Textures and colours that invite an embodied experience through one’s senses are viewed as sacred.
Jessica (b. 1985) lives and works in Vancouver BC unceded territories of Musqueam, Skwxwú7mesh, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations.
