I grew up one of three brothers, in Viña del Mar, on the central coast of Chile. I spent my high school years growing up in the US while my father was stationed there. It was there that I took my first formal class in photography, shooting black & white photos.
After I returned to Chile, I continued my interest in photography despite the high prices to purchase process & process film. The advent of digital photography eliminated many of the obstacles that had prevented me from developing his skills. I won my first photography contest with 5-megapixel Kodak 7200 camera and bought my first Nikon digital camera 2002.
My love of photography has blended well with my lifestyle hiking throughout Chile. The two come together, allowing me to record the images of the wild places, and incredible flora and fauna of my native country.
