Doras (b. 1990) is an Irish-Canadian visual artist working primarily in painting and sculpture. He lives and works out of Montréal, Canada. Doras’ practice is driven by a passion for making art more accessible to the public, and as a street artist, he creates pieces that draw from his background in illustration, placing a strong emphasis on narrative and colour.
History and mythology play a big role in Doras’ artistic approach. He often blends historical ornament and iconography with the language of contemporary fantasy to create images that build upon a growing vocabulary of symbols and speculative world-building and function as allegory for our current reality.
Doras’ work can be found across Canada and internationally, both in the urban landscape and in traditional galleries.
