Born in Guadalajara in 1991 and raised in a family of painters, Barreto's artistic foundation was deeply rooted in his upbringing. He later honed his skills at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts in Boston, where he earned his BFA.
His work spans animation, illustration, digital installations, and murals, often exploring themes of identity, culture, and human connection. Barreto has collaborated with acclaimed musicians such as Natalia Lafourcade, Colleen, and Chet Faker, creating visually compelling animations that resonate with their music.
