Chance Nkosi Gomez is a visual artist born in St.Lucia W.I October 24th, 1994. He began producing conceptual imagery after finding interest in the work of Ben Zank, Aleksandra Kingo & Brooke Didonato. Using suburban and industrial environments as a stage Nkosi manipulates negative-space, form, line & the human figure to create a minimalist visual dialogue. Although each photograph varies in its approach his work relates to the subconscious mind. His subjects embody the joint-like posture of mannequins. They allude view, hiding themselves behind objects and other times reveal their strange nature in an ordinary remote world. By revealing body parts or diverting the view of their face, the images become more equivocal, the viewer is no longer able to tie a defined story line to the image with the little information he has given.
