Chuck Martens (b.1997, Minneapolis) is an artist trained in photography. Inspired by classic paintings, he creates landscape and abstract works with an attention to color, light and composition. Through an iterative process, he produces photographic work that is at once familiar and imaginary. Martens received his BFA in photography from Pratt Institute. As an alum, he exhibited A Beautiful Spring it Became in the Pratt Photo Gallery in September 2023.
