Azza Hussein (b.1981, Beirut), Illustrator and visual artist. Works under unstable conditions and draws on portable convenient material within her artistic practice, like drawing, digital photo-collage, and text-based photography. Her work obliquely and overtly refers to landscapes and displacement, and addresses human vulnerabilities and the weight of psychological unsettlement. Concealed anxieties, malaise and absurdity are omnipresent in her art practice.
She currently lives in Montreal and works as an art director and illustrator on several linear and immersive projects.
