I am a self-taught, emerging artist and Pakistani-American, living outside of Washington D.C. Nature inspires me with its abundance of exquisite shapes, forms, and colors. Given the immense problem of climate change and destruction of the natural world, my most recent series of paintings have focused on landscape paintings. But rather than emphasize the destruction of nature, my art aims to celebrate nature. My paintings are expressive, merging representational with abstraction, and joyful. My paintings have been exhibited in multiple group exhibitions, including the Circle Gallery, District Arts Gallery, and Silvermine Galleries. I’ve had a solo exhibition in 202 at the d’Art Center and have an upcoming solo exhibition at the Transverse Gallery for Contemporary Art.
