Ariella Gibson is an American photographer and art educator. With a BFA in Photography and a minor in Art History from Memphis College of Art and an MFA in Photography (incomplete) from the University of Hartford Art School, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her work.
Her photographs explore the complexities of the human experience, seeking to reveal the deeper emotions and symbolism hidden beneath the surface. Her intimate, feminine perspective adds character and depth to her colorful images.
As a dedicated art teacher, Gibson has worked in inner-city schools in North Memphis, Tennessee, where she has honed her skills in fostering creativity and helping students tap into their own unique perspectives. During the pandemic, she lived and worked in Nanjing, China, and is now based in Tokyo, Japan.
