Alix Pentecost-Farren is an illustrator and visual artist. She studied illustration and filmmaking at the Rhode Island School of Design before moving to New York. Her work often includes ornament, fantasy, and ecology and takes the form of drawing, letterpress, collage, wallpaper, and more.
Her clients include the New York Times, MUBI, California Sunday Magazine, Pop-up Magazine, Sierra Club, Scientific American, The Nature Conservancy, Fatherly, Nonesuch Records, Thrillist, Medium.com, and more.
Her work has been awarded a silver medal from the Society of Illustrators, a Communication Arts Award of Excellence, and shown by galleries in the U.S. and abroad. She has been an artist in residence at the SVA RisoLAB, the New York Center for Book Arts, Amtrak/Passion Passport, Elsewhere Museum, and the Vermont Studio Center.
