My drawings are the outward expression of my personal impressions of the cities I love and admire. I regularly travel Europe and North America in search for new ideas for drawings. Back at home I meticulously reproduce, mainly from memory all my impressions to create sweeping panorama's of cities such as New York, London, Rome, Vernice and Budapest or smaller, more intimate impressions of particular neighbourhoods, squares, avenues or stations in smaller towns throughout Europe. It takes roughly between two weeks for a small drawings and up to half a year to complete a large drawing. I solely use pen and ink and watercolour so there's little room for corrections.
