Hi everyone,
my name is Aleksandar Todorovic (b1982), a fine art painter (MA) from Belgrade, Serbia.
I wanted to share with you works i created for the recent solo exhibition i had in Dio Horia gallery (Mykonos, Greece).
I create socially and politicaly engaged works for the past 10years, and these works are a continuation of that process. I created these works as an extension of the work i created last year, called the "Iconostasis of Consumerism". In these works, i criticized the consumerism-orientated modern society, and I also added a number of surrealist elements to it. I used composition and visual elements used in traditional Byzantine Iconography, and mixed it with my own illustration-like aesthetics.
