It's about repetitions that either serve you as traditional, becoming culture, superstition, and comfort, or repetitions that harm you and put you in a scared, safe, uncreative space.
The series intends to show literal struggles as they would manifest in the dream where every object has its place and comes to you as a harbinger, with purpose and intent. It uses its own language to better describe feelings like a sudden need to cling to one's everyday culture (coffee and your local basketball franchise), feeling like you're not as good of a listener as you used to be, and comfort eating.
