Through loss, I have found myself. In the last two years, I have used my words and photography for healing, growth, and space to love...others and myself. Walking with Water is the last set of photos I took in Summer 2018. My first time camping was a three day trip alone in Sequoia National Park, a retreat before entering my "Senior Year of Life," (four years since graduating university).
Walking with Water is a story of a woman who has found herself after a trying and tiring year in a country that has failed to acknowledge and support people of color and women. Through nature and disconnect from a social world, she has found herself.
Clear-headed, open, and free-flowing...like water
All photos were shot by Ciarra K. Walters using a self-timer + tripod.
