Galicia, a Spanish region in the Northwest, is territory of superstitions that go back to the night of time. One of these legends is La Santa Compaña, a procession of souls led by a living person who goes out every night through the woods announcing death. In the sepulchral silence that occurs in it appears, it can only be heard from time to time some soul exclaiming “walk by day because the night is ours!”.
Through this legend, this project speaks of the pessimistic feeling that is contaminating current thought. There is an omen that something terrible is going to happen and pessimism seems to have settled in Western societies as a response to the crises that we have been chaining for years. Like the people who were with La Santa Compaña in the middle of a dark and silent forest, we are being warned of the arrival of death.
