Deeply preoccupied with the perishability of relationships, time outdoors and the comforting familiarity of daily routine, I have found solace in photography. Via its ability to fix details subjectively, image-making enables me to make my subjects’ existence last in a fuller atmospheric scope, allowing me to investigate better, piece together and internalize their ephemeral, intangible and grand nature. Photographing helps me understand what being alive means and how to revel in it. Whether candidly recorded or re-enacted, the scenes I create use light and its physical materialization on subjects as a stand-in for my fascination with human interactions' finiteness. Weaved together with sequencing as a storytelling device, my images depict routine, vistas and loved ones engaging with light, domesticity or nature.
