My work typically revolves around self-portraits exploring personal mental health. Recently, I've ventured into still life, drawing inspiration from art history and traditional painting techniques, focusing on lighting in each piece. Each soft food (and Chucks shoes) still life shares a common theme: fire symbolizes renewal, empowerment, and anger. Cakes signify childhood and innocence, while fiery shoes denote coming of age. Moldy fruits represent individuals who seek solace in materialism, avoiding deeper issues. Fruit without gemstones mirrors societal discontent. The tattooed raw chicken explores impermanence and societal norms. Each piece challenges perceptions through contemporary symbolism, reflecting ongoing mental health explorations.
