In her latest series of photographs, Caludia continues to challenge the concept of color and reaches a new understanding of its potential through the process of image manipulation. Along with her deliberate questioning of different hues and how they can be used to capture an expression found in a particular moment, light has become a more important part of her practice. She states, “I see black and white as colors because of light.” Blues have become blacks in a study of gradient color and it is clear that her awareness of the form it takes on the paper is amplified.
