Unio Mystica is a series of 3 paintings and a result of introspection on current social, political and spiritual issues- mine and the society’s.The circle is a symbol of wholeness, inclusion, eternity and to me represents the sacred symbol of the Cosmos in it’s unmanifested state where beginning and end are one- a philosophical idea I grew up with and still entertain. The circle has spiritual connotations in almost all cultures which is what inspired me to paint this series of 3, to go past my racial and spiritual identity to create, in my mind a world which has evolved and matured to a place where discrimination of any kind is non existent,where life in all forms is honored and love is the language of communication.
