My most recent collection, “Uncrowned Queens," consists of 12 portraits of women behind the most influential political leaders in history, fused with famous paintings of their time and others with devastated landscapes. "Uncrowned Queens" was born from the inspiration of the works of my uncle Jose Alberto Zabaleta who made a collection of the 13 most terrible queens in history. With the inspiration of my uncle, this questioning arose about the women of these great political leaders, these women who have been the shadow of these men, who have witnessed wars, genocides, and crimes, but some of them remained silent and submissive, witnessing and accomplices of what these men did, in many cases they marked in a very important way the course of history.
