I create installations, books, stamps, weavings, prints, paper-cuttings and underwater environments, on my own, and occasionally in collaboration with writers, scientists, or my two small children. I use paper, polyester drafting film, ink, craft knives, and printmaking techniques to explore memory, mythology, coral reefs, defense mechanisms, bioluminescence, and the unknown. I have installed a cut paper reef in an empty storefront, exhibited work in British Columbia, Saskatchewan, and Ontario, and collaborated on a limited edition hand-made poety chapbook of illustrations. I desire to bring the mysteries of our oceans to the surface, discover the aliens of our planet, and to fill unexpected spaces with the beauty of the natural world.
