Classic art forms of painting are often thought of when the word abstract art is brought up. By implementing the use of digital photographic techniques, I'm trying to create the painterly aesthetic of abstract paintings. The subjects are organic forms, such as decay or tree bark, taken in everyday locations, yet it's abstracted by the randomness of the camera settings and post production "painting." This is an ongoing experimentation looking at using methods of digital art to create the look of classic mediums.
